Calder Green Reserve is a saltmarsh and riparian area, on the lower reaches of the Ōpāwaho Heathcote River. The aim is to restore the indigenous flora and fauna to this area and create a habitat for birds and other native species. It is 1.56 hectares, named after a campaigner for the Estuary, Bernie Calder, and the donor, Mrs F Green. Calder Green Reserve is owned by Forest & Bird, and managed by branch members, local rangers, and the community.
Calder Green Reserve is on the lower reaches of the Ōpāwaho Heathcote River. Access is from the Ferrymead Golf Club carpark.
